Affordable housing and rent payment assistance is a top need of 211 callers across California. 211 San Joaquin recently received a call from a 65 year-old woman needing to find housing resources. Our caller explained that through a voucher program, she was making her payments on an approved rental property, but was now being forced out of her home because the owner of the property placed the unit for sale.
